WASHINGTON — Nearly 50 % of Virginia’s U.S. Home people are freshmen, hoping this won’t be their last in Congress year.
Five for the state’s 11 representatives when you look at the U.S. Home are serving their very first term, and four of those are required to handle reelection that is competitive in November. They’ve all invested their very very very first 12 months in workplace wanting to advance their pet dilemmas, build their campaign coffers up to get face time with voters right right back inside their districts.
The closest competition this autumn might be for the chair now held by Rep. Elaine Luria, whom might face down contrary to the exact exact same GOP lawmaker she unseated in 2018. But freshmen Democratic Reps. Abigail Spanberger and Jennifer Wexton may also have close races, as could Republican Rep. Denver Riggleman.
Republican Rep. Ben Cline is not likely to face a difficult competition in their deep red region, though it’s still early into the campaign period. Devamını oku
